A business brain for the AI you already use.
A business brain is the set of operating documents that tells your AI what your business knows and how it works. By invitation, our team builds your brain with you through a guided interview. Connect STEVE to ChatGPT or Claude, and your AI can read that brain and use STEVE’s guides to help you review it and prepare changes.
What STEVE is
ChatGPT and Claude know a lot about business in general. Unless you tell them, they don’t know yours: your services, your policies, your exceptions, the way you like things done.
A business brain is a set of plain documents for one business. It holds what your business knows, plus working instructions for your AI: where to look, what to check first, what it may promise in your name, and when to stop and ask you. You can read every line, and you can change any of it in your own copy.
How it works
- A guided interview, by invitation. Our team builds your brain with you through a guided interview about how your business really runs: what you offer, how you decide, what is off-limits, and where your information lives.
- Your business brain. We turn the interview into clear operating documents, deliver them to you, and load them into your STEVE account. If you keep a working copy in your own Google Drive or Notion, that is where you make changes.
- Connect ChatGPT or Claude. Activate your STEVE account from your invitation, connect it to ChatGPT or Claude, and sign in. Your AI can then read the brain version loaded into your account. See how to connect.
- Review and decide. Ask your AI to check your setup, review your brain or help with a change. STEVE gives it the right guide, your AI does the analysis in your conversation, and you decide what to change.
Changes you make in your own copy, for example in Google Drive or Notion, don’t update the version held by STEVE automatically.
What STEVE helps with
STEVE’s support guides tell your AI how to help with common jobs. STEVE supplies the guide and your documents. Your AI does the analysis in your conversation, and its findings may be incomplete.
- Setup check. Helps your AI check that the STEVE connection responds and which documents are available in the brain loaded into your account. It doesn’t inspect your Google Drive or Notion.
- Brain review. Helps your AI find possible improvements in the brain version available through STEVE, with a suggestion for each.
- Failure review. Helps your AI look back at answers that missed the mark, using examples you give it or context it already has in your conversation. STEVE doesn’t retrieve your chat history or your AI’s memory.
- Change help. Helps your AI show where a change belongs in your brain, and draft a ready prompt you can use to make it in your own copy.
- Ignored instructions. Helps your AI look into possible reasons an instruction wasn’t followed, and suggest changes.
- Outdated or conflicting information. Helps your AI spot it, so you can settle what is right.
- Growth prompts. Gives your AI a guide for drafting prompts suited to your business, to help you grow it and expand your brain.
Try asking
- “I just connected STEVE. Check that everything is set up and working.”
- “Review my brain and tell me what could be improved.”
- “I want to add a new policy. Where does it belong in my brain?”
- “I gave my brain an instruction, but it keeps ignoring it. Why?”
- “Suggest prompts that will help me grow the business.”
What the connection can and cannot do
The STEVE connection for ChatGPT and Claude is read-only.
It can
- Read the brain version loaded into your STEVE account.
- Read STEVE’s support guides.
It cannot
- Change, add to or delete anything in your brain.
- Open your Google Drive or Notion, or see the edits you make there.
- Receive your messages to ChatGPT or Claude, their answers, your chat history or your AI’s memory.
- See any other business’s brain. Your account opens your business only.
- Take actions in your business, send messages on your behalf or make purchases.
STEVE’s guides tell your AI never to say a change was saved unless it actually was.
Your privacy, in short
STEVE’s application server and database are in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Sign-in is handled by our sign-in provider, WorkOS, in the United States, so STEVE never sees your password. Some technical logs and support emails are processed in other countries, as the Privacy Policy explains.
The STEVE connection doesn’t receive your messages to ChatGPT or Claude, their answers, your chat history or your AI’s memory. It receives only the requests your AI sends to STEVE, each checked against your sign-in: which tool, and which document or support guide. STEVE records which tool was used, what was requested, when, and whether it worked. If you email us a chat excerpt, we receive only what you choose to send.
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t use your brain documents to train AI models. You can ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at any time. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Request access
STEVE accounts are opened by invitation. There is no sign-up inside ChatGPT or Claude.
STEVE is currently offered to businesses outside the European Union.
To ask for access, email support@usesteve.com with the subject “Access request”. Tell us your name, your business, and whether you use ChatGPT or Claude. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle access requests.
